Our company was nice enough to pay for our registration and shirts during last Thursday’s Corporate 5K. This was the first time I signed up for this annual event because I found out that our company would be paying for the first 100 people to sign up. Yup! I know..I’m cheap! But hey race registrations do add up and can get expensive in the end.

The race was held last Thursday evening (6:30 pm) at the Jacksonville Metropolitan Park area near downtown. I am not going to say that I had a strong run on this one. For some reason, I was just out of breath and out of rhythm during the whole race. I felt like walking when I reached the half mile mark. But I was still able to push through and set a new PR @ 24:18. I think I just don’t perform well in warmer temps. But I’ll take the new PR! I found a photo of myself during the race below:
